Dashboard widgets

This reference lists every widget you can add to a Pristo CX dashboard and the settings each one has in the widget editor. Account admins and program admins add widgets in the dashboard editor, as described in Create a dashboard. The dashboards overview shows how the add-widget dialog groups them.

A choice question is any entry of the SINGLE / MULTIPLE CHOICE group in the form builder, such as Single Choice, Dropdown or Checkbox. See Question types.

Data widgets are all widgets except the three visual elements. Their editor has four tabs: General, Segmentation, Filtering and Display.

The General tab has these settings:

Setting What it does
Widget title Up to 120 characters. Left empty, the widget shows its type name
Subtitle Up to 160 characters
Source questionnaires or Source questionnaire The questionnaires of the program that the widget reads. Required
Question For score and answer widgets: the question. Only questions of the accepted types are listed. Required
Data display Single number shows one value for the dashboard’s date range. Over time shows a line with one point per day
Show change vs. previous period Adds the change from the period of the same length just before the date range. Only for Single number without a breakdown, and not for Answer distribution, Text categories or Text intent

Segmentation breaks the data down by up to 3 contact or event attributes. For NPS and Satisfaction score, it can also show only the highest or lowest values. Filtering holds a permanent filter for this widget only. Both are described in Filter and segment dashboard data.

On the Display tab, the formats on offer depend on the widget and its other settings:

Widget and settings Formats
Single number, no breakdown Number. NPS can also show as a Gauge, from -100 to +100
Over time, no breakdown Line chart
Single number with a breakdown Bar chart or Table
Over time with a breakdown Line chart or Table
Answer distribution, no breakdown Pie or Table, or with Over time, Line chart or Table
Answer distribution with a breakdown Table
Text categories and Text intent Table, or with Over time, Line chart or Table

The Display tab also has these options:

Option When it appears
Show an overall-average line Over time with a breakdown shown as a line chart, and Text sentiment over time
Score bar color NPS, Satisfaction score and Response rate in period with a breakdown and Single number. The bar sits beside each score in the table. Six colors, blue by default
Categories per value Text categories with a breakdown and Single number: 3, 5 or All. The default is 5

Respondent count counts the complete responses submitted to the chosen questionnaires in the date range.

Setting Options
Channels Email, SMS, WhatsApp and None. Leave all empty to count every channel. None counts responses that did not come from an SMS or email send, such as answers through a share link or an API link

Send count counts how many times distributions sent the chosen questionnaires in the date range, by the time of sending.

Setting Options
Channels The same four channels. Choose at least one

Response rate in period divides the complete responses by the questionnaire links sent in the date range. A link sent more than once counts once.

Setting Options
Count basis Sent in range counts a response to a link sent in the range whenever it arrives. Sent and answered in range counts it only if it also arrives before the range ends. The default is Sent in range

Alert count counts the alerts created in the date range for responses to the chosen questionnaires.

Setting Options
Alert status All (the default), Open or Closed. Open counts alerts that are Open or In progress

On a published dashboard, an alert count shown as Single number without a breakdown has a list button, Show details. It opens a panel with the alerts behind the number:

  • The panel shows the date range and the number of dashboard filters applied. Switch between All, Open and Closed at the top.
  • The table lists Response, Contact, Alerts and Alert created, 20 rows per page, newest first. Select a row to open the alert.
  • Open in alerts page opens the Alerts page in a new tab with the same questionnaire, dates and status. If the widget reads several questionnaires, choose one first. The Alerts page does not apply the dashboard’s contact and event filters.

When the widget compares with the previous period, a rise shows in red, because more alerts is worse.

These widgets read one questionnaire. They use every response that answered the question in the date range, not only complete responses.

NPS shows the share of promoters minus the share of detractors, from -100 to +100.

Setting Options
Detractor values The answer values that count as detractors. The default is 0 to 6
Promoter values The answer values that count as promoters. The default is 9 and 10

The values on offer are the question’s answer values, or 0 to 10. Both groups need at least one value, and a value cannot be in both.

Satisfaction score scales each answer to its question’s range and shows the average on the base you choose. With several questions, it averages all their answers.

Setting Options
Score base 5, 7, 10 or 100. The default is 100
Decimal places 0, 1 or 2. The default is 0

Numeric answer average shows the average of the answers to one question. It has no settings of its own. A Number question from the input fields group is not on offer.

Answer distribution shows how many respondents chose each answer and their percentage. The table has the columns Answer, Respondents and Percent, and a Responses row with the total. When a question allows several answers, one response counts under each answer it chose.

With Over time, each answer gets its own line, and the widget cannot be broken down.

The text analysis widgets read the open answers that Insights analyzes. Until an open question is set up for analysis, the add-widget dialog shows them as unavailable. See Set up Insights.

Setting Options
Surveys Only questionnaires with an analyzed open question are listed. Each questionnaire adds one analyzed question
Analyzed question Appears for a questionnaire with more than one analyzed question, to choose which one counts. A question that is no longer analyzed is marked as such
Widget What it shows
Text sentiment The average sentiment score, from -100 to +100, and the split into Positive, Neutral and Negative answers. The change from the previous period is in points
Text categories Each category with its number of responses, its share of responses and the average sentiment of the responses that mention it. One response can mention several categories, so the shares can add up to more than 100%. Answers without a category show as No category
Text intent The share of Complaint, Praise, Question, Request and Suggestion answers, and No clear intent. With a breakdown, each value shows its Leading intent

Over time with a breakdown, the widget follows one category or intent at a time. Viewers choose it in Category shown or Intent shown.

Widget Settings
Title Text up to 200 characters, Alignment and Font size. It starts 12 columns wide in Extra large
Text Text up to 2,000 characters, with line breaks, Alignment and Font size. The text shows as typed: a web address does not become a link
Spacer No settings. Viewers see empty space

Alignment is Start, Center or End. Font size runs from Small through Regular, Large and Extra large to Huge.
